Müller Ice Cap Daily Report Monday April 28
Daily Report for the 28 April 2025
The good weather continues and we have had a very productive day. We had some problems with some powered cables on the winch during the morning. This was repaired by Grant and Kevin and drilling could continue. During the weekend the ECM instrument from Icefield failed and we have not been able to measure ECM on the cores from today. This reduces the logging work and we have started to work in teams of three instead of four.
The extra
person in camp has allowed us to pack food for MARS, make a new outdoor toilet
and groom the skiway.
What we have done:
-Drilled 12
runs from 238.74 m to 258.02
-Logged and
O18 sampled bags 239 to 258
-Made a new
outdoor toilet
-Packed
food for MARS
-Measured
that there can be 78 ice core boxes in the Viessmann
-Repaired a
loose connection on the winch cables
-Groomed
the skiway
