Müller Ice Cap Daily Report Thursday June 12
Daily Report for June 12th
2025
All camp members out of the high Arctic – signing off. Thursday the last four Müller camp members made it from Resolute to Ottawa via Iqaluit, and we thus now longer have any Müller project personnel in the high Arctic. Hence, this will be the last daily report from our successful 2025 Müller ice core drilling operation, were we managed to reach all our goals and have both firn and ice cores safely back in Edmonton.
A great THANK you to all at Eureka for hosting us with fantastic support throughout the season and for being a perfect hub for our operations. A great THANK you to PCSP for planning and logistics support both during this amazing season and for years in advance! Also, a great THANKS to the crews of the Twin Otters and Baslers - again and again, you made the impossible possible for us on the Müllers Ice Cap! And finally THANK you to everybody else from near and far, who gave us a helping hand and a pat on the back throughout – all this matters much more than you would think!
Goodbye
from all of us. With these words, we close the 2025 Müller ice coring diary.
What
we have done Thursday:
-
Left Resolute after handing in final PCSP personal gear.
-
Had a nice walk, in downtown Iqaluit.
-
Made it to Ottawa just before midnight.
We
are now 4 in Ottawa (Iben, Richard, Julien and Bo), none in the high Arctic.
